Me Good Headshot

My name is Erica Ciko Campbell, and I’m excited that you’re interested in learning a bit more about Written Constellations. For updates on my novel progress, please check my Instagram page.

If you’re looking for a science fiction writer with a truly unique vision, let me make your dreams a reality at last. If you envision a story in the silence of your mind, I can bring it to life like no one else. I know what it feels like to smother your most compelling, rich creative dreams in the back of your brain for countless years–and I know what it takes to shatter the prison. Unlike other writers, who are afraid to break the mold and leave Earth’s atmosphere, I will find a place among the stars for your dreams.

I graduated from Utica College in 2014 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a minor in Writing. After graduating, I worked as a technical writer at an engineering firm for two years. In June 2017 I decided to pursue my passion of writing full-time—which led me to form Written Constellations, where I offer my services to clients around the world.

Why did I settle on “Written Constellations” for a name, you ask? I’ve had a lifelong interest in astronomy and space and I’m currently working on a science fiction novel about one of my lifelong muses, Prince Ralyn of Marduk. I’m thrilled to announce that it should be finished sometime in Spring 2019. My greatest pleasure in life is transporting readers to forgotten galaxies and impossibly distant alien worlds, and my novel will be able to do this in new and unimaginable ways.

Personally, I think our planet has enough stories about run-of-the-mill humans. In my personal works, my characters are often aliens–and I deeply enjoy exploring the strange, “in-between” places where the souls of humans and outsiders overlap. When I take you inside the minds of a Syndragorean prince or an inter-dimensional demigod from beyond the streams of time, you might not expect to find anything familiar. However, in my works, you may find that these denizens of distant stars are far more similar to mankind than you ever imagined.
